Holding a token

Sync, the release period, claims, bonuses, drops, signed claims, where never to send the token, and the add-ons built on top.

Income

Anyone can sync a revenue token. A sync pulls the income every door holds into the token, and whoever sends it can be paid a small tip, at most 1% of the ETH it pulls. Each arrival is released to holders over the token's release period, one day by default (the creator picks 1 to 14 days when minting), so income grows every second between syncs.

Holders claim whenever they like, one asset at a time or every asset at once. A transfer settles both sides first, so income never jumps from one wallet to another. Anyone can also pay a bonus into the token in one of its own assets, and the bonus is shared like the rest of the token's income.

Drops

Every revenue token has a drop box. Anyone can drop ETH or any ERC-20 into it, at any time. A drop is shared by each holder's balance at the end of the block before it landed: a holder who sells afterwards still claims it, and a buyer afterwards does not. A buyer in the drop's own block gets nothing, and a flash loan cannot change a past block's balance.

Tokens sent straight to the revenue token or its drop box, in an asset the token's income is not paid in, belong to no one until someone turns them into a drop, which anyone can do. A token stuck in one of the revenue token's doors can be handed to the revenue token first, then dropped.

Without gas

A holder can sign a claim and let anyone send it; the claim pays only the wallet the holder signed for. The token supports permits and signed transfers, so it can be paid and moved without the holder holding ETH.

Before you send revenue tokens anywhere

Never send revenue tokens to a helper contract: the token's drop box and its doors cannot send them back. A vault, lending market or other contract that cannot claim keeps its share of every drop where nobody can take it.

Add-ons

Two add-ons sit on top of revenue tokens, each its own contract, with the token unchanged. Both are deployed. Anyone opens a token's time shares through their factory, and its compounder once the token has its own pool:

  • Daily time shares: lock revenue tokens for whole days and hand out or sell each day's income as its own time share. A day can be wrapped as a token a pool can list.
  • Compound: deposit revenue tokens, and their income is added to the token's own pool as liquidity.

Hookr's keeper rolls each token's time shares about once a day. Hookr's keeper pokes each compounder about once an hour. Anyone can roll or poke from the token's page at any time, and a roll or poke that moves enough pays its caller a small part of it.
