Dev buy and its lock
The creator's first buy inside the launch, its limits and the liquidity lock it starts with.
A new token's launch can make one first buy on each pool, the dev buy, inside the same transaction. It is priced from the launch price and delivered straight to the creator.
The limits
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Most of the supply the creator holds once the launch returns | 5%, dev buys and unplaced supply together |
| Lock the launch flow starts with | 7 days, 50,400 parent blocks |
| Longest lock | 365 days, 2,628,000 parent blocks |
| One parent block | About 12 seconds |
What the lock holds
- The launch's liquidity stays in its pools until the lock ends, on top of the guards.
- The tokens the dev buy bought are not locked.
- The positions' fees stay collectable throughout.
What a dev buy pays
It pays every fee the pool charges a buy: the base fee, the launch Snipe tax on a guarded pool, the dynamic fee, LP Rewards, the royalty, Auto Burn and Hookr's share. The LP parts come back to the creator's own positions as fees, so its real cost is Hookr's share, the burn and any royalty paid to someone else.
What it needs
- On a guarded pool, the guard must run past the launch block, with a Snipe tax above zero and a buy cap at least the buy. The dev buy counts against the cap and closes the launch block to every other buy on that pool.
- On a pool without a guard, it pays no Snipe, has no cap and closes nothing.
- It fills in full or reverts. Nothing of it is refunded.
