Compound

Deposit revenue tokens in a vault that adds their income to the token's own pool as liquidity.

On this page

Compound is an opt-in vault for one revenue token. Deposit revenue tokens and they keep earning in the vault, and the income they earn is added to the token's own pool as liquidity instead of being paid out.

How it works

Anyone opens a token's compounder through the compounder factory once the token has its own pool. A deposit gets the vault's own shares, which redeem for their part of everything the vault holds: the revenue tokens, the liquidity and any cash not yet placed.

A poke claims the income the token owes the vault and places it in the pool as single-sided liquidity, in up to three bands next to the pool's price. The pool's fees on that liquidity are placed the same way. Drops to the token's holders are claimed in and released over time like income. Hookr's keeper rolls each token's time shares once a day, at 00:00 UTC. Hookr's keeper pokes each compounder about once an hour. Anyone can roll or poke from the token's page at any time, and a roll or poke that moves enough pays its caller a small part of it.

Why it exists

Revenue tokens in a Uniswap v4 pool earn nothing, and most other pool contracts cannot claim. Compound is the way to hold revenue tokens in a contract and keep their income working: the vault claims for its depositors, then deepens the token's own market with it.

The compounder lens reads a vault's holdings, bands and owed income for the token's page.
