How it behaves
Each round crowns the payer of the largest single buy, and when the round ends that king is credited the whole pot, with no ceiling. The pot fills only from arb recapture, and on a pool launched from hookr.fun it takes the other 50% of every arb profit, after What The Hook's 25% and Hookr's 25%.
Arb recapture must be on the pool, since this is a switch inside it.

Least buy that counts
In the quote's own units, pre-filled so a dust buy cannot take the crown: 0.01 ETH, 0.01 WETH, 25 USDG, 1,000 HOOKR, else 0.1% of the pool's quote depth. The contracts take any amount above zero.

King of the Pool is live on ETH/HOOKR, on the whole-pot core (0x10f6…55f7, module 0x60ef…d649): the round’s winner takes the whole pot, with no ceiling. Every King of the Pool launch on Hookr’s hook binds it.
How the prize reaches the king
- CloseWhen a round's time is up, the next swap, arb recapture or limit order fill closes it, and anyone can close it from the round card. A round with no king credits no prize and releases its share of the pot to the pool's LPs.
- ClaimThe close credits the king the whole pot in the pool's quote. The king claims it in Portfolio or beside the round on the pool page.
- As claimsWhen the quote no longer moves exact amounts, the king takes the prize as PoolManager claims instead.
What you take on
- It runs inside arb recapture, so it needs arb recapture on the pool, and its round length, least buy and release are fixed with the pool at launch.
- Only a buy through Hookr's router, its forwarder, the Universal Router the release pins or Hookr's split router can lead, and a contract that buys holds the crown itself. A buy from any other router never leads.
- A sell on the pool later in the same transaction cancels a lead taken earlier in it, and a king who sells in a later transaction keeps the crown.
- A limit order fill takes the crown for Hookr's Limit Orders book, whose prizes go to Hookr, since the book cannot tell which order earned them.
- No keeper closes a round: the first swap, arb recapture or limit order fill after it ends does, or anyone can. A quiet pool's round can sit past its end until then.
- If arb recapture stops, the pot stops growing, and rounds still close and pay from what it holds.
- On a hook you deploy it runs on that hook's own core, which caps the prize at 50% of Hookr's share of LP Rewards and Auto Burn on the winning buy.
Tradeoff
- The prize has no ceiling, so a buy made only to take the crown can win more than it paid in fees. Traders and LPs get no direct share of arb recapture, and LPs get part of the pot only from a round with no king.
